The
Owens Station Story
History
The Owens
Station property has been in the family for over 100 years. It
first opened as a hunting preserve in the early 1970's. It has
since grown to include the many fine services offered today to
provide you with the finest in hunting and shooting as well as
the renowned Owens Station dogs, the best hunting stock available
anywhere.
Our Founder
Owens Station
founder Bill Wolter trains the dogs you hunt over. He has been
working and training dogs for over 40 years. Bill was the trainer
of the 1996 National Champion, Santa Nella Valley, as well as
scores of other national and regional champions in his illustrious
career. Dogs and hunting are his passion.
Bill received the Merit Award for outstanding accomplishments
for resource conservation in 1976 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber
Company. He was named Conservationist of the Year in 1985. He
holds a diploma from the National Landscape Institute, 1958.
